NOT SUITABLE FOR PELLET FOOD

I have to say I'm a big fan of Seachem because of the exceptional quality of the products and the science behind them. But in this case, at least for me, the idea of this particular product didn't live up to my expectations. Keep in mind that my review is purely anecdotal. First, let me say that the product itself is probably not bad, although I have no proof of that. I don't have proof because I just haven't been able to use it successfully yet. Meaning. In my case I have a rooster and I was hoping to soak his pellets in this liquid for a few minutes before feeding him. Unfortunately, once the pellets have absorbed some of the liquid, they fall to the bottom of the aquarium like rocks when I put them in. My betta doesn't stand a chance. They sink very quickly. Needless to say, I can't soak the pellets with it. Some might argue that I just don't need to soak them too long so they don't weigh down with too much liquid. But then it kind of defeated the whole purpose of the product I guess. But to be honest, the same thing happens when I soak the pellets in regular water, so I really don't know what I was thinking when I mistakenly assumed that this liquid might be different. In any case, the idea of adding extra nutrients to the fish feed through the soaking method is very sensible and probably quite effective with other forms of feed that may not sink as easily. For that reason and guesswork I will try to use it with freeze dried products like mosquito larvae, mysis and daphnia. I'm still only giving two stars because the main food I feed my cockatiel is pellets and if I can't use this product with this method then unfortunately it's not very good for me. Others may not experience this and if so, fine with them because I'm sure this liquid is every bit as nutritious as Seachem says - based on just a few of their other quality products that I've tried and tested.
