And the worst thing is that it almost works. I bought some 16GB Sandisk cards and these adapters and they almost passed the basic verification test. (Many SD cards are fake or lie about the size so check them) and during verification both cards failed verification - not much. It's enough that you MAY NOT notice, but when you're submitting something important like your thesis, Murphy will come knocking. So some things have changed places, and real adapters have emerged. Both SD cards worked fine on other devices, and the 64GB Samsung I tested gave the same error when connected to the adapter. (Note: used Samsung and Sandisk microSD adapters for SD cards, crashes followed USB adapters). So considering the price it's not worth returning, but you should know that you might get lucky, but it doesn't have the decency of being utter crap. Much luck. (I bought two, both do the same thing and both go to the same place - Silicon Skies - Red Dwarf.)
