Bear with me and I'll explain the four stars when I rate the three stars in detail. For an integrated web/Bluetooth home automation switch that doesn't need a traditional voice control device; it is fabulous. Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, smartphone or tablet on the same network, and you're good to go. They work great, the app is easy enough to use or as complex as you need it to be. I mean I'm entitled to it, with six in use and two I haven't found a place for yet (bought in option 2/pack as it's the most economical at the moment). My original purchase with a wireless NetGear connection. The router is easy to set up with the Tulia app. But it was an old router and we had other problems, so I replaced it with Linksys. This is where my problems with this product begin. You CANNOT just swap out the network connection devices, plugs must be removed from the old one and plugged into the new one. Also, the first four I bought worked with the Tulia app, the second purchase out of four didn't. I had to switch to another company app, SmartLife. Same layout, same features, just a different name on the interface; but obviously programmatically different. Because I named every plug and socket, switching apps and routers was a huge pain. It didn't take that long to be honest, but it's 30-45 minutes wasted on thoughtlessness. And spend more time renaming and configuring the backup schedules I created. Once set up, these things are amazing! 1 outside for Christmas lights (as of this writing) 1 in the front room for the Christmas tree 2 in the living room for floor lamps on opposite sides of the room 1 in the bedroom for night lights 1 in the back bedroom for decoration Sunset (local time depending on location) and at 10pm :30 pm going out. The lamp on my wife's bedside table turns on and off at a set time so she doesn't have to turn on the overhead light when she goes to bed. The lights in the living room go on and off thirty minutes before sunset. 10:30 p.m. And a second schedule that turns on before we get up in the morning and turns off when we go to work. They also run on different timetables on weekends and weekdays. They are ideal to give the house a lively look of the people who are at home, even if we are not. We don't usually stay long, so we come home enlightened. Please note everything is set up, I can control a switch or separate outlet from anywhere in the world that I have internet service. Or they work according to the schedule for the set days. *My biggest frustration* The light switch in the master bedroom has two lights, both low wattage LED bulbs. They will not both stay on at the same time. I don't know if this is related to the overload protection and auto shutdown feature or if I have a bad switch. But I can turn both on and after a few minutes they turn off. Turn one on and it stays on until the scheduled shutdown time or manual shutdown.
