They really work for me and have proved invaluable for moving heavy furniture. I also have an EZ Moves lifter that helps me get these things under things without breaking my back. In fact, even with a lift, you still need two people to get the best results. However, if you are alone, paying someone is the best solution. Once you place them in the right spots, gliding becomes a lot easier. Examples of problems I have encountered: I have a long solid oak dresser that has no legs as such. The entire floor is on the carpet. The rug is low, even pile, but pushing it under the corners with those sliders is still a chore (and yes, I pulled out the boxes first). I also have a very heavy full leather two seater sofa - it's immobile without the glides the courier planted for me. With them, he glides easily, albeit on a Berber carpet. Another problem I've found is that two sliders can fit under one set of legs and then the piece slides off without going high enough. It was a tall piece of furniture that was also flush with the floor. I couldn't get it on the wall to mount it. I just wanted to mention these examples. Note: I'm a petite woman - my brother slipped her four sliders with no problem. I left them under any furniture forever - like under the sofa. I noticed that these sliders are constantly bent. It's possible that the plastic will break over time, although I think it only happened once and I'm not sure what brand it was (I've bought others at a discount store). Legs or furniture edges can also leave lasting impressions on the rubber side, which hasn't been a problem for me so far. These EZ Move sliders are of good quality and the first ones I bought have still not broken despite a lot of use. I mention these examples to show that these sliders may not work optimally in every situation. But most of the time they work as advertised. I recommend them if the quality of the material is the same as the original.
