I remember my slinky going through the ordeal as a kid. a few graceful runs down the stairs, tug of war and constant up and down play, all round play. Unfortunately my daughter went through TWO in just two days. I bought the rest as gifts but looks like my daughter will get the last one too. We couldn't even get him to "walk" down the stairs because he doesn't go up the stairs without bending and stretching. Some things will never be as good as the original.
