UPDATE 1/2/2017. Most of my reviews are positive. I love rewarding people who do good service and avoid trivia. But Netgear is a plagiarism and I think it's time to give a negative review. I have since discovered that Netgear has released a firmware update V3.01.06 which appears to be causing WiFi crashes intermittently. THIS IS ON THE NETGEAR WEB FORUM. I called tech support again tonight and got the same story but was told they don't have a manager to escalate the issue. The hardware warranty is 1 year, but you have to PAY for the technical support to use it. The 90 day support guarantee starts the day you BUY the modem, not the day you put it into service or even the day it is delivered. I got it up and running 57 days ago, but my 90th support has already ended. It's a piece of junk and they know it. 10 days after the end of the 90-day free support, he started experiencing Wi-Fi dropouts. I called tech support and they told me I had to pay them $89 to get tech support. Tech support for an issue they tend to dismiss. €89 is the new price! This was after I worked with Xfinity to confirm that the problem was with the modem. The modem connects to the internet via cable, the WiFi sucks. The Xfinity guy said they had a lot of similar problems with Netgear modems. And good luck with Netgear support who understands English.
