Review on 77177A3 Housing Replacement Mercury Outboards by Jaime Miranda

The kit looked fantastic as it had so many different parts including a rubber grommet that connects to the outlet. Unfortunately, this sleeve was quite warped and while it might have worked if it had been stretched, I preferred to reinstall the old one. The water pump did not fit in the housing that houses the bearings and drive shaft seal. It may only be 1mm wider, but it's impossible to mount. The rest of the parts looked pretty flimsy compared to the OEM, especially the impeller which is very thin and flexible compared to the OEM so I had to order a new OEM impeller as well. All in all I basically bought some really expensive pads.
