I prefer the look of terracotta/ceramic in my aquarium and I prefer American made. It is smooth no jagged edges important to my axolotl love not having to worry about chemicals getting into my tank ended up widening the axolotl hole with a fine sanding attachment but wouldn't recommend it if you don't mind risking breakage and wasting money axolotl has gotten a bit small but she still uses it I wish Cobalt Aquatics would make skins the size of an adult axolotl!
