I love the look of these metal levers and directional buttons (bought in charcoal grey). The slightly textured spider is an improvement over the original plastic construction (in my opinion), and the increased length of the L2 and R2 arms is just the right amount for comfortable use. I chose not to use the included action buttons (which are designed to look like the base of a 9mm case with the primers intact) because I need them on one of my Limited Edition The Last of Us pt II controllers used (the other one stayed fully in stock just in case). I want to use/feel the original version) and I like the monochrome look of the PS icons (everything from light gray to white on these controllers) and sometimes I honestly forget which icons are on which buttons. The overall weight added by all the aluminum parts isn't too much to make the controller too heavy for extended gameplay, but significant enough to make it noticeably different from the standard. The slight difference in weight adds a nice weight that the original controller lacked and gives the controller a nice quality feel overall, in my opinion. My only issue with them is that the L2 and R2 levers have a slightly sharp outer edge. It's not overly uncomfortable and I honestly forget that benefit when gaming, but when I first put the controller back together after installing everything, the first thing that struck me was when I felt the new buttons and levers. I was also concerned that the extra weight of the aluminum would negatively affect the factory springs and rubber grommets, but they work just fine. The kit comes with extra springs and screws, but again I didn't use them. Overall I find this set to be of exceptional quality and value for money. Of course, I would have preferred if I could select the parts I wanted to change (except for the individual buttons with icons on the right) and at a lower price (maybe $18-$20?). One of the reasons I chose not to mod both of my Ltd Edition controllers was because 1) I initially felt that modifying the Ltd. Ed. I left the TLOU2 controller alone to feel better and 2) $50 for both controllers seemed a bit expensive. I would definitely give this set 4.5 stars if I had the chance, deducting 1/2 a star for the "sharp" edges on the extended L2 and R2 arms, but ultimately I think they're mine 5 stars as the edges did not affect my comfort or gameplay in any way. Will I buy another set in the future? Yes! Absolutely
