I bought this key for $3.92 in 2010 on sale. The wrench I received was made in Taiwan and is generally of a better standard than the Chinese made GearWrench. In fact, this wrench is used daily and has become one of my favorite tools. . Why? Because most nuts on car battery connections have a diameter of 8 mm. This is the PERFECT tool for loosening and tightening those nuts! And almost every job you do in the car requires you to disconnect the battery first, which is a real time saver. Since I mostly have to use a deep head and often an extension with my 1/4" ratchet, I can't tell you how much easier it is to loosen the battery terminals with this wrench. It's 8mm longer than a average combination wrench. , and also longer than most ratchets. The extended length and X-beam design make it a lot easier to maneuver. The ratchet isn't sloppy, and the reversing switch is solid too. The profile is thin and smooth, just like you'd expect from would expect from a fully polished wrench, and a chrome finish that's done right. The wall around the ratchet end is thin as expected (not thick and oversized like some Chinese ones) so I've never had an issue with the gap between the top portion of the battery and the bottom of the nut. I have yet to remove the nut with it so I'm sure the size is accurate. The price I paid made it a huge deal t. but I don't think I would be less satisfied if I paid more.
