Review on Unleash Your Pokémon Adventure with Pokémon Sun - 3DS [Digital Code] by Ryan Williams

Great game but a little bit different. It's not really in the same format as all other Pokémon games. Of course, you choose your starting Pokémon from Fire, Leaf, or Water type and embark on an adventure through the landscape, catching Pokémon as usual, but a few things have changed. First, you don't have Pokemon Gyms like in any other game. . You go through trials that are oddly very different from just going somewhere and defeating someone waiting for you. Your opponent isn't really an opponent because you're always ahead of them. And many of the Pokémon have acquired different types and characteristics because they evolved on different islands. Therefore, many of the story elements of this Pokémon game are different. There are also some practical differences. Little things add to the overall experience, like pressing Y to throw a Poké Ball or being able to take care of your Pokémon's status effects and heal them effectively without having to use a potion or go to the Poké Center. Also, the ability to pet and groom Pokemon they introduced in X and Y is back, and although it's mostly useless (except for small things like gaining extra experience or keeping your Pokemon from fainting because it "loves" you), you can't help but bond with the little critters. As you'd expect from Nintendo or Game Freak, Pokemon Sun is a fun little romp through new lands with new creatures.
