I don't understand why people write negative reviews about this product. We have a cat that only pees in one room for unknown reasons. The product is easy to use and we had a rug that most people would throw away. After a thorough basic cleaning, the carpet looked like I could entertain guests. The stain removal performance of this machine is simply amazing. It doesn't leak, the only thing I noticed is that it tends to form small lumps of carpet that need to be cleaned off the brushes and head after use. To make it even better, our rug is 22 years old and looks brand new! I think people who complain about the suction power use the machine like a vacuum cleaner. I (Max) thoroughly cleaned our carpet and after 12 hours it was completely dry. While cleaning our carpet, I held the trigger down three times, once forward, once backward, and once forward. Then I vacuumed the carpet at a speed of about 1 foot per minute. For maximum suction it is important to only clean small areas at a time as you don't want water getting into your carpet and you want to make sure your water is as hot as possible while vacuuming. And when cleaning, it's important to move slowly and vacuum up dirty water. I've used at least four different carpet cleaners, including one we rented from the grocery store, and this is by far the best I've used. I don't think I would want to use it for a very large room due to the size of the head. If I could rate this 10 stars I would. I warn you though, if you are using this machine barefoot and are wearing blue jeans, roll your jeans up! LOL I learned the hard way. Because I stepped on my blue jeans with my heels, my blue jeans, even though they've been washed many times, we leave bruises on the carpet. The good news is that the stains were removed with this machine. Also, many people will want to just take it out of the box, assemble it, and use it right away. I'm that kind of person, but with this car I think it's important to read all the instructions. Much luck! Update: After 3 months of use this cleaner is still convincing! Easy to use, super suction, easy to clean. ALWAYS vacuum before use! For best results, go SLOWLY while vacuuming! The speed of one foot per minute gives amazing results!
