Review on Sioux Chief 652-A: High-Performance 1-Inch Plumbing Solution by Tyler Gannamani

Good surge arresters are best for rough installations

Sioux Chief 652-A water separator works as described. However, I noticed a problem. The threads on the ones I received were a little chewed up. This made it difficult to screw into the tee, especially with the tubing strap required. You really need a wrench of the right size to screw them in. Rounding is very easy if you slip. The fitting is a 1/2" NPT male thread. Suitable for 1/2" T-NPT female thread. It also works on my water plate in my darkroom. There used to be a lot of small water hammer due to the opening and closing of the solenoids (this is done to regulate the water temperature). dozens of times per minute. Much quieter after installation and I no longer notice water hammer. Hope they last a few years. I typically have 3-5 years for the ones on my washer before the internal spring snaps or the bladder lets the airbag through. I would definitely recommend this for water hammer issues.
