My Pit/Hound mix is STRONG and has destroyed 4 prong collars in 6 years. So I went on the leash (because the last prong broke and fell off as we got out of the car). He doesn't come off the leash, but he just doesn't feel it or me when he's wearing it, so he lets me. . This spiked collar has a quick release buckle BETWEEN the leash loops so it stays closed when the leash is on - it's AWESOME! (All clamps are broken during quick reset). I've now attached the prong collar to the harness (D-rings and carabiners) so if he breaks the collar again the harness will catch him and give me precious moments to slide the leash into the harness clip. I really think this is the best solution and he was happy to be able to walk with the spiked collar again. Thanks!
