I got the 8.5 size which is the size I normally get. I do get some wiggle room for my toes in the front. But if you wanted more wiggle room or going to wear some thick sock, get the next size up. The zipper is a bit rigid, but works just fine. The black color is very deep and not that soft black. Which I do appreciate the deep color for this shoe. I was able to take my foot out of the shoe with ease while it was zipped up all the way for those lazy days I don't want to bend down and zip it down to get my foot out.I don't know yet how warm this will keep you foot, I have to wait until it gets colder to update that. But I will say, my foot was heating up in there when I wore this.
