Purchased November 2019; Review Aug 2020 In Nov 2019 I had to replace a faulty defrost heater (also purchased from Revain) which caused my fridge freezer (old model, garage) to freeze and run at a higher temperature than is comfortable. Decided to buy this pair of simple analog thermometers to monitor the temperature after the repair and thereby detect any abnormal operation before food spoils. After 10 months, refrigerators and thermometers continue to function properly. Every time I open the fridge, the thermometer tells me quickly and easily that the freezing temperature is in the right range. There is no need to change batteries (as is the case with more complex electronic devices), so the results are stable and reliable. The only disadvantage is the formation of frost on the glass surface of the sensor; However, this can easily be removed with a warm fingertip.
