I was looking for some good winter socks to keep my ankles warm while at home; the barely-above-the-heel summer socks left a gap below my pant cuffs, but I don't want calf-high socks for all day wear. My wife had bought a pack of inexpensive socks, but they were really thin material and felt like polyester. These looked thick and are made of good materials, so I tried them out. I really liked them right away, and have since bought a second set. I highly recommend them for comfort and warmth.
