I wasn't a fan of the remote control that originally came with my Philips 43 HDTV. The quality is not very good, the buttons don't work well. In other words, it's a cheap remote control. I tried a universal remote that I liked, but it didn't work any better. After reading the reviews on it and asking a few questions I decided to give it a try, since I had a few credits and it didn't cost me much. This one looks almost exactly like the original. but a little stronger. However, it works much better. I don't have to hold the buttons or press them more than once. I was pleased with the functionality of this remote compared to the original. I still don't like it very much. The buttons are small and compared to my Samsung remote or LG remote, it doesn't compare. But I'm glad it works better and it works a lot better. I still don't like it very much.
