The lock looks very solid and has a nice chrome finish. The screws that come with the kit are junk, junk, useless. The installation instructions say to drill a 3/32" hole. I drilled a 3/32" hole in an aluminum framed door panel. Tried to drive a screw in and after going in about 1/4" the screw broke. I did had to move the lock up a bit and redrill the holes. Used the next size bit, the larger one (7/64"). I started putting another screw in it and it broke again. At least this time it broke in one spot where I could grab it with pliers and pull it out. I ended up screwing the lock on with drywall screws. After switching to drywall screws everything worked fine. It's a bit difficult to get the jamb section and door panel bracket perfectly lined up for the deadbolt to engage without binding .It is highly recommended to purchase stronger screws before attaching them to the aluminum door panel.The screws will likely work on a wood, fiberglass or vinyl frame.
