I was a bit disappointed when my new 5 gallon gas bottle leaked gas due to the outside temperature. It was around 75F for about 3 hours in the back of my truck - not in direct sunlight. As I took the canister to fill the dirt bikes, I was surprised to smell the gas and see a steady stream of gas (from the filler hole) flowing over the body. I've only added about 4.5 gallons since then and the used oil doesn't spill even when it's hot. Also, the fuel release lever for dispensing rubs the hard handle and binds every time. So I have to let go of the dispenser lever for a few seconds before I get the amount I want. It's not entirely safe or convenient. Not quite what I expected for the price of this can. I contacted Revain and they sent me a new block. I will definitely update this review when I get a new glass to test. I hope my glass was just broken. Thank you Revain for making this issue so easily manageable. NEW CAN UPDATE: Same goes for liquid volume. This should be rebranded as the 4.5 gallon canister. The good news is that the new device doesn't have a faulty lever like the previous canister. All in all, this is still the best gas tank I've ever owned and I would recommend you buy one. At the moment it's 4 stars because I can't say anything about the durability. I will update this review in a few years.
