Good quality, offers extra grip on steep climbs. As it's very stiff the ride gets a bit stiffer on my rough turf but I'd say don't let that hold you back as the extra grip is far from conducive to a harder ride which at my speed I slow down a bit and that is tolerable. A smoother lawn is less of a problem. The local tire shop happily changed them when I brought them my old rims with old tires. The price of 10-12 dollars for rubber is normal. They mined and added new stems for $10 each. At the same time I bought new front tires and after mounting I had no problems balancing the blade.
