A South Florida icon, the Bonehead cotton shirt is appropriate for work, play, and fishing. Almost uniform in keys; In fact, many professional fishing captains are seen wearing them. Bought a bundle for field work a few years ago and they still work. Overall Quality: These are expensive shirts but the quality is evident. Almost too good for dirty work, but they wash well; Cotton of fairly dense weave. The cape provides good ventilation but isn't really needed as the cordon breathes well. They dry quickly when wet, not as quick as full nylon or microfiber shirts, but these cotton shirts are more comfortable. If Columbia made a bonehead out of pure cotton and 60-40 nylon I would try that, but high-tech synthetics just don't work for me. Fit: I'm 5'11", 175 lbs, medium, 42 reg jacket, and I have these shirts in both medium and large sizes; both fit well with the medium size, look more fitted and the large ones are very roomy. Plus size sleeves are gorilla length, but I usually partially roll them up, so no problem. Button-through buttonholes keep the sleeves up as they roll below the elbows. The chest pockets are deep enough so you don't have to worry about losing your sunglasses or laptop. I buy them when they are on sale in the off-season, this classic will never go out of style in my life! I hope Columbia keeps them going.
