My throat gets cold easily - all the time in winter - and especially in my pajamas. Until I discovered this, I couldn't go out without a thick scarf, and at night I had to wear a turtleneck sweater under my pajamas. But this product is GREAT! I like that I don't have to pull it over my head. I was afraid the velcro would catch on my hair, but that didn't happen. I'm 5ft 7in, medium to tall build and my neck is definitely not skinny. I use this with velcro set to the "tightest" setting and there is plenty of room left over. So I think this would probably fit adults with big necks too. I bought several so if I get cold during the day I have the color I need. It's cleverly designed so you didn't have to fold much extra fabric in the back. Stitched with care. There is a similar item with a lego brick on the front which I also bought as I can't tell from the reviews if one fits . I also like Legos. It's even a bit bigger and definitely a bit warmer because it covers most of the shoulders. But that extra fabric can clump up sometimes when I'm sleeping. (The lego icon can be easily removed if you have a seam ripper) Overall I prefer this option for my purposes. It would be a bit warmer in Lego if you go outside in the cold due to the extra fabric, but it also takes a bit of work to pack away that fabric for the coat - although not much more than a regular scarf.
