My son loves to ride my motorcycle with me. I want him to have the same protective gear as me. This padded, abrasion resistant jacket has the same quality and protection I expect from my adult sized jacket. It has an insulated lining for extra warmth that can be removed. It looks premium and seems to protect your skin as it slides across the floor, but luckily I didn't have to test that. This is a great 3 season jacket. . In the summer, this jacket can get too hot, even with the insulation lining removed. I think it depends on how hot the summer is where you live, but in reality, if the temperature exceeds 30 degrees on a sunny day, your child will sweat in it. Otherwise a great motorcycle jacket for children.
