Might as well be the "BEST " USB Microscope

This gadget outperformed another (returned) USB microscope, mainly because its software failed on a brand new Dell computer with Windows 7 64-bit preinstalled crashed , like the returned brand, did not mention Win8 in the manual, which means the products have been on the market for over 4 years.) True 2MP resolution actually provided more detail in very small objects. Another brand advertised 2MP, but it was actually only 1.3, interpolated to 2MP. Compared to the (returned) gadget, this one produced faint and not entirely sharp frames, even when saved in high resolution bitmap format. (I did the last test: I tried to grab the diamond tip of the player's stylus β€” not that easy.) Then I realized that another brand had put every effort into enhancing the photos in the software, including artificially sharpening the images and saving them as JPEG. These images could not be enlarged due to heavy post-processing. The real microscope generated grid frames that serve as good starting material for further processing in Photoshop. This microscope is also clearly better as a webcam; a lens that can capture larger objects with good clarity. Only downside is that the height-adjustable part of the stand wobbles a little, even though it's nice and made of metal. The camera shakes a bit, so you may need to tape it down when photographing tiny objects. However, I believe that you cannot find a better USB microscope. If you want more then you need a real microscope and then you miss out on the versatility of this microscope as a very decent webcam. Very happy with the purchase.

Love the scope but I have two concerns.
