Review on 📻 RAM-HOL-UN4U Finger-Grip GPS and Radio Holder: Universal Compatibility with RAM B 1" and C 1.5" Components by Terrance Castle

I bought this mounting system in April 2013 to use with my iPhone 4s in the Otterbox Defender case. I ride a lot of cross country and unfortunately that is associated with frequent falls. After several falls that broke my fingers, I can say I'm amazed at the level of protection this mount offers. I modified the mount a bit to hold the phone more securely. I use my middle fingers on the sides and my pinky on top. This gives me full access to all of the phone's features and even allows me to add a spare battery to the phone (I use a New Trent iTorch IMP52D) while the phone is in the cradle. Useful on very long trips when the battery of an iPhone with GPS just can't take it. Even on stones and potholes, the cell phone stays securely in the holder. A finger broke off several times in the fall. The mount comes with 4 mounts of each size, so I was able to replace broken mounts with other sizes if needed. I will also say that my phone was VERY secure even with three side fingers and one top finger. Ram-Mount will happily replace broken fingers under their warranty program. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product to anyone riding cross country or just going on holiday. The mount itself is great and the customer service is top notch.
