I have other RAM products and this one works great for my iPhone 8 Plus. I placed one of the legs on the bottom but found that I had to lengthen the length of the back of the leg slightly or the phone would fall backwards. I replaced the foot with one of the short fingers for added protection to keep the phone from slipping out of the bottom of the holder. If you are planning to assemble the entire windshield mount to hold your iPhone 8 Plus, you will need a strong windshield mount to hold the…

Ugly but secure, albeit a little fragile

This is the best mount if you want to keep your mobile device safe. It keeps my iPhone 6 Plus securely attached to the bike, even on bumpy roads. I was trying out the new X-mount from Ram Mounts and my phone fell out the first time I got on the bike and I almost lost my phone. It's not too much, but it's tried and tested and can be adjusted to hold all sorts of devices very securely. If you are looking for a phone mount, I would choose this one if I were you. The only downside to this mount is…

I love this thing: GPS finders and accessories

This holder has been working great with my HTC Amaze for over a year now. I use it on and off road with my Yamaha WR250R dual purpose motorcycle and have never had a problem with the phone turning off even when it was off. -Traffic accidents and a traffic accident. That's right, if you're a cyclist and need a secure phone mount, look no further. The only complaint I can think of is that despite the readjustment, the fingers are so tight they broke my volume lever from being so tight. That was…

Great Product: GPS System Accessories

I bought this to mount my cellphone on the HD motorcycle handlebar. Fits great and holds the phone well. I was concerned about the less durable mounts making the phone vibrate, but not this one. I have to say it's pretty ugly on a bike, but actually it's more about function than form and my choice was fueled by my phone, an HTC Evo 4G with a bigger battery. There just aren't many mounts for such a large phone coupled with the considerable thickness of the extended battery. Ugly, yes, but I…

Reliable, easy to use

I ordered this to mount my iPhone on my bike. I use Map My Ride to track my mileage on my bike, and I also like listening to music on my phone while I ride (I don't ride with headphones, so I need something to place my phone where I am can hear it). . I tried a cheaper plastic mount and after seeing the phone bounce off the road three times (luckily I have a Griffin case so the phone didn't get damaged) I decided I'd try my luck and get something more had to. significant. This mount holds the…

Great item for GPS, finders and accessories

Great mounting system, works great for the iPhone 5S in the rescue bag that is mounted on my 2005 BMW R1200RT handlebars, holds the phone in place but still allows access. I had to modify mine a bit as the top and bottom fingers got in the way of the phone's power button (top right) and the bottom left headphone jack on the Lifeproof case. I replaced the included locknuts with 8-32" Kep-Nut style locknuts (they have built in lock washers) and they are much easier to secure. Tighten them and…

Fantastic protection

I bought this mounting system in April 2013 to use with my iPhone 4s in the Otterbox Defender case. I ride a lot of cross country and unfortunately that is associated with frequent falls. After several falls that broke my fingers, I can say I'm amazed at the level of protection this mount offers. I modified the mount a bit to hold the phone more securely. I use my middle fingers on the sides and my pinky on top. This gives me full access to all of the phone's features and even allows me to add…

Great as a universal phone mount

The versatility of RAM products is great and this universal smartphone mount is perfect. I ride my motorcycle every day and was looking for somewhere to hold my iPhone 4 so I can 1) see who's calling me (I have a motorcycle helmet bluetooth communicator) and 2) for GPS/routing when i need it I see some other reviews mention it has tiny screws to assemble - it's VERSATILE! Yes, you must try different sized "fingers" and match them to YOUR phone/cover! Back to my review; I have a "Ballistic" case

Great holder! I advise!

It's far from the prettiest, but it's the safest I've found. I ride my motorbike about 60 km every day. I wanted my GPS to be visible, not just to reroute when traffic is acting up since most of my driving is on the freeway, but to know if my job changes my schedule on the way to work. . I'm not afraid of my phone slipping out of the grip this case has to offer. The fingers look like they're getting in the way of using my phone, but so far they haven't been a problem for me other than muting my
