I have other RAM products and this one works great for my iPhone 8 Plus. I placed one of the legs on the bottom but found that I had to lengthen the length of the back of the leg slightly or the phone would fall backwards. I replaced the foot with one of the short fingers for added protection to keep the phone from slipping out of the bottom of the holder. If you are planning to assemble the entire windshield mount to hold your iPhone 8 Plus, you will need a strong windshield mount to hold the suction cup to the windshield. This has to do with the weight of the cell phone.
