Review on Memory HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 1866MHz DIMM CL10 HX318C10F/8 by Stanislaw Sipko ᠌

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible quality, wasted money.

A little background I bought a couple of these bars 8-10 years ago, along with the GA-x79-UP4 rev1.1 motherboard, from the very beginning the RAM did my brains, 1 out of 2 bars didn’t want to work at its frequency of 1866 (I tried to return it under warranty , but they told me "everything is fine, suffer further, then contact me," I bought them from some special batch with a lifetime guarantee, although maybe all kingstons do this, I did not go into such details), and even for 1600 with some periodically falls out (does not pass the starting posttest). It would be better if some non-name bought that this slag. By the way, there are no problems with the corsair at this frequency (1866), for me even 266 MHz is critical, because My motherboard supports 4 channel mode. And in 4-channel mode, this is a lot (1866x4) 59.6 GB / s versus (1600x4) 51.2 GB / s. And the difference is very noticeable in games, the stators disappear completely at 1866x4, at 1600x4 you feel a slight twitch of the game scene. Personally for myself, I decided a long time ago that only those whom I quietly hate will buy a kingston, so to speak, "shit under the door."

Pros
  • are they really there?
Cons
  • too expensive memory for such low quality
