I bought this for aqua aerobics in a pool around 80 degrees. The size 8 was too big (I lost a little weight so it was difficult to guess the size). I am currently 5ft 6in and 140lbs. Any place that isn't snug against your skin, with every movement, warm water sloshes and colder water comes in. cool water Proper fit means buying the smallest vest you can barely close. It'll be tight, but neoprene stretches a little in the water. The eight felt like a tight jacket, but I knew that even though the zipper was tight, I could still zip down the next size down. As soon as I tried 6 I found that 8 was too big.
