I'm upgrading my mid 2007 iMac to 4GB of memory. The first set I received, the computer emits 3 beeps, indicating a memory problem. I did a bit of trading and found that one of the new 2GB sticks had a problem. I contacted Revain for a solution and decided to replace the item. In the meantime I used the old 1GB and the working 2GB and the system was fine. Revain promptly sent replacements and installed two new 2GB sticks upon receipt. Now the computer won't boot at all. I replaced the 2GB flash drives and eventually the iMac started up with the 4GB flash drives. The whole process was a little annoying as I had updated Macs many times before. The solution was quick and painless, but it confuses me that there is an error in every sentence. The packages were unsealed so I have no idea where these sticks came from. Good luck with your update.
