I originally bought the shower gel version of this soap but was disappointed with the lack of lather although the scent was amazing and lasted for hours. So I went and bit the bullet and bought the soap bar version. The foam of the soap bar is unreal and the smell is amazing. However, the scent doesn't stay on the body as long as shower gel, so this is a compromise. I end up preferring the soap bar version. While the scent doesn't last that long, the lather is ridiculously good and that's important to me. The price really makes me cringe, but good soap is one of my few indulgences. If they could add an ounce to the bar and make it 8 ounces like those big L'Occitane bars, I'd be a lot happier.
