Plastic tabs need to be cut off
There are 4 small plastic tabs on the outside of the washing machine. I think they should hold the washer in the tension nut threads. I found it difficult to install the washer with the grommets installed and had to use a wrench to tighten the nut. It's still leaked. When I took it off, the washer was badly crooked. Luckily I ordered a second set. I used a pair of wire cutters to remove the tabs and the washer fits snugly into the nut. Hand tightening was sufficient - no pliers needed.
