A very good and well made camera, but with some flaws. Well packaged but without a wall mount that needs to be purchased separately or together with the camera. The video has slightly better clarity at an office distance compared to the Zowietek PTZ camera I own, but details are lacking in the backlight area. At 20x magnification of outdoor subjects, the same scenario, the video image is slightly better but lacks detail in bright areas. The camera has poor backlighting and tight dynamics, the image turns white when shooting through a bright window, obviously no HDR. In a very dark room, it has low noise and better picture compared to Zowietek PTZ camera. But it takes 4-5 seconds to restore normal picture after normal lighting is restored. Zowietek PTZ camera can restore normal image almost instantly. Painful web interface, difficult to set up. No live video for popular browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Edge. It says VLC, IE, JPEG should load but still don't work. After switching Edge to IE, you finally get a live video preview. However, the IE plugin setting cannot be saved, it needs to be selected manually every time to preview the live video. Compared with Zowietek's PTZ camera, it can instantly display live video for most popular browsers. The WEB PTZ control works great most of the time, but sometimes it moves in one direction while panning or tilting and can't stop without an idea. The camera should be reconnected to the internet and back to normal. Another missing option is that the image adjustment cannot be done online, only with the IR remote control. This means that the camera setting cannot be changed remotely if the IR remote control is not reachable. There is no immediate action for initially setting a static IP address, no prompt to reboot, nothing happens after applying. This is not user friendly. Advantages. Slightly better video clarity but lacks detail in highlighted areas. Better video in low light but longer time to white balance. minuses. Inconvenient IP setup for initial setup. The video image lacks detail in bright light areas. Insufficient dynamic range in bright backlight. Lack of ability to set exposure, focus, NR, style, etc. in a web browser. No digital zoom. It should get 4 stars but only gets 3.5 stars given the higher price.
