They're easy to use, easy to install and they look great. I used them to seal our oven. I'm cautiously optimistic that they will hold up after using the oven a few times. I'll report on how they hold up in a few months. Update: They work very well as oven locks. Our oven insulates heat very well. The oven door and side panel hardly get hot when the oven is on, so I don't have a problem with the heat getting in the way of the glue. When attaching the lock, make sure that the strap is on the door, otherwise the strap will bend and easily get caught in the oven when closing. Lesson learned. However, when I removed it to reattach it, I was able to learn a few things. The glue usually came off in one piece with a few strong jerks. It's pretty easy for an adult to get off, but I'm sure it will be very difficult for a kid, even a stubborn one, to get off. The glue that was sticking I was able to slowly peel off and it may be whole. There was a small ring of glue on the oven door that I was able to remove with vinegar and water. I think it can get more difficult the longer the lock is in the oven. Overall still very happy with my purchase!
