The overlap isn't long enough. We struggled in places to pull it far enough over the wall of the pool. We're hoping that the new strips hold the cover in place. We think the problem is that the bottom of the liner isn't actually 24 feet in diameter. The seam around the perimeter of the bottom (floor) of the liner that lays over the sand floor doesn't match to the perimeter of the pool frame, leading us to believe that it may only be about 23 feet in diameter around the floor of the liner. It may have been made incorrectly. We purchased a liner pad, and it matches to the pool frame over the sand floor at is should. That lead us to believer that the actual sand floor is 24 feet in diameter, but the liner floor isn't quite that. The previous liner we had purchased was a good fit and we had more than 5 inches overlap. This Antilles liner has an inch to 1-1/5 inch at best.
