I have two budgies whose claws and wings I carefully trim. I bought this product so when I moved to Seattle they had a little extra protection to keep me warm in the winter (I keep my thermostat on 70, don't worry I just like to be discreet). My chicken, PIA, toes kept getting stuck in the fabric lining of the bag so I trimmed them and kept checking to make sure the bag wasn't a problem and for a couple of weeks it wasn't. Then one morning I heard her screaming like crazy, pulled the lid off the cage and saw PIA bleeding from her leg. Luckily there was some kind of quick stop nearby so the bleeding stopped quickly and I removed the bag. However, if I hadn't been there, she might have been in very bad shape. I've also heard reports of birds chewing on the food and choking on the fabric, or guts clenching like an accordion. (Tissue will eventually get stuck in the intestines, but they will push it further down into the colon, causing the intestines to shrink and, if left untreated, will kill the bird. This also applies to .well, all animal) birds stay in hang on the metal part that hangs the bag from the ceiling and die. .It's not worth it for me.
