Great concept but too expensive and doesn't last long but there is a way out ;)
I like these filters out of the box and first and maybe second use. After that, they seem to decompose. I ran one through the laundry on the gentle cycle just to see if that would help, and of course it was worse. They are quite expensive for spot cleaning. I generally only use mine when needed in my reef tank to polish the water. Now I take the activated carbon cartridge and stick it in the bottom of the filter and then wrap it with filter thread. It's much more cost-effective and one-off if done without breaking the bank.
