I love this shelf! Obtain! Pros: Metal legs and sturdy wooden shelves. It also has a short stand to keep books from falling off the shelf. This is perfect for my kids play area. Plenty of headroom for my 7 and 3 year olds to safely raise and lower their books. The assembly instructions were easy to understand. Cons: Cannot be assembled with the hand tools provided. You will need a Phillips screwdriver or drill. Once the screws have penetrated the wood, they become very difficult to turn. You can't even turn around. If you have a doorbell with a chime, you can simply use the small screwdriver provided. I didn't have drivers for large screws. So I took the supplied hex wrench, put it in and turned it with pliers rather than by hand. There's no stop on the sides, so you'll need to attach something to each end to keep the small books from falling off. to the sides. I put a large book at each end.
