Does not work when wet

I bought this product because my watch had a few scratches. After washing my hands I was very disappointed and couldn't use the watch anymore because the water had seeped under the protector. I thought it was because I might have installed it incorrectly, but it happened every time. I just took the protector off and am planning to buy another product.
