Marmot makes quality jackets and this boys jacket is no exception. The build quality is top-notch, with neat stitching and smooth zippers. It is very versatile as you can unzip the fleece lining and use it in three different ways: fleece only, raincover only, or both for maximum warmth and rain protection. Both pieces have a name tag that you can write your child's name on. Here is the sizing info from the Marmot website: S: Age 6-7 M: Age 8-9 L: Age 10-12 XL: Age 13-15 My son is 6 and I have the medium. It's big for him, but he can still wear it and grow in it. He only wore it for snowball fights and it kept him warm. He says it's comfortable. I am very impressed with this jacket. Looks good - I like that it's done in an adult style and doesn't try to add any cute childish features (apart from the name tag). The jacket is of excellent quality and definitely worth the money.
