I bought these lights for a number of reasons. 1. They said they were superficial and I felt like I was about to meet a stud. And low and here. (See photo) They actually mount directly under the rafters/studs. Thank God. 2. We found that we like the 3500 temperature and they have 5 different temperatures to choose from. 3. They seemed like great value for the quantity you get and they were worth every penny. If you want to place your lights perfectly (I used an online lighting calculator) and not have to worry about studs. then by all means take it. I've only installed 4 out of 16 I've bought so far. If I come across any issues or updates that may affect the purchase I will definitely update this review. So for now it was a great buy. Note: I make my own. I'm not a pro and they were very easy to install.
