Review on Smiths Adjustable Manual Knife Sharpener by John Ruelas

I'm not sure if this is a defective product that I received or if this item was just a piece of junk to begin with. However, I've ruined a lot of my good knives with it. I used it to sharpen 14 of my chef's knives and then put them away. About a week later I went back to work, grabbed my knife pouch and tried to cut something and I FELT the knife was jagged. I took a close look at it and found that the edge was naturally jagged as much as possible. I tried my next knife. The same thing. next knife. The same thing. Etc. I went home, tried resharpening to see if that was the problem. Vain. We tried to regrind from the start but it only got worse! I read the instructions three more times to see if I missed any details, but no. Needless to say, this thing DESTROYED some of the knives. I'm not trying to do everything on the whetstone to see if I can save her. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!
