Coating broken buckles

I'm torn because I love the color of this belt. It actually goes really well with my brown Wolverine 1000 mile boots. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, the chrome belt buckle has some sort of transparent protective coating that will chip off once you receive it. Once this coating breaks off, it leaves ugly marks.

Pros

I love my Allen Edmonds shoes so I decided to buy this belt. This belt looks good and is well made.

Cons

It's a little lighter than I thought it would be and it's a wide belt. It goes well with jeans though.
