Review on HUSKY TOWING Brute HB4500 Trailer Tongue Jack in White for Enhanced SEO by Jeff Henkhaus

Revainrating 4 out of 5

4.5 stars! So far, so good! Good thing you have an electric trailer jack!

item as described. Quick and easy replacement of an old manual jack with a new one. As this is my first electrical jack my point of reference is limited but I'd say it's pretty quiet, pretty quick and definitely easy to use. To be honest has met or exceeded all my expectations so far! Draws about 5 amps up/down for a 650lb drawbar weight (haven't tried it yet when it was attached to my truck for a WDH setup). Do the headlights seem to draw less than 1A? A couple of little things and why I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5: 1) The storage bracket is not integrated with the slot as shown in some pictures of the gray HB4500 and some other websites. The bracket comes as a separate piece that attaches to the round shank of the jack with the included attachment-style tie-down straps. 2) I like that the socket can be used in manual emergency mode. However, the brake lever is small, unassuming and prone to being lost and not found in an emergency when needed. Too bad the storage space for that lever in particular wasn't somehow integrated into the jack itself so they couldn't be separated. 3) It would be nice if a socket cover was included. With a dedicated emergency release and hand lift handle, can this cover do double duty? negative path for 12V power supply. I would have preferred to see dedicated positive and negative power lines so the connector can be connected directly to the battery. Bad ground is sometimes difficult to track down and often proves to be a bane on the equipment of trailers that use bodywork as a ground path. Otherwise I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to many years of excellent performance! I will update if I encounter any problems. PS Not sure what is expected of WRT's "weight distribution" under "Rate Features"? Is the weight reasonably balanced and does it not matter at all after installation?
