I don't have USB-C on my Mac, only USB 3.0, so I can only test the drive for USB 3.0. Even that is super fast! I copied a 2.7GB video file from a Seagate drive and it took less than a minute. About 34 seconds. The drive came with both cables, so you're in luck if you have a USB-C port. It really does look like one of those cheap electronics you can find anywhere, but if you look closely you'll see an excellent manual. no if you need it The drive is plug-and-play, just plug and play. It's thin and light, and a case-like case is also present. I like this drive for its compactness and quiet operation. Throw it in your backpack and don't worry about shocks that can damage regular hard drives.
