I have 6 double-width shelves for storing firewood. 1 piece of wood for each double wide pole. I had to cover the shelves to protect the firewood from heavy rain and snow/ice. Initially only tarpaulins were tried, but as wood was used and the top of the stack was lowered, the tarpaulins filled with water and sagged between the vertical supports of the rack. It was difficult to clean and almost impossible to clean once the water froze. After evaluating other solutions, most of which I discarded due to cost (I'm cheap), I decided to cover the top of each dual post with wire mesh. so that the tarpaulin does not sag. Cheap and problem solved except now I had to staple all the wire mesh to the posts. Having used a compression/compression stapler in the past, I knew that shooting through 500+ staples would be VERY painful to my hand. I already had a Milwaukee M12 tool and when I saw this stapler I was blown away. The price was right, the reviews are great, so I ordered it. Staples aren't one of my favorite things to do, but this tool was made so easy. I shot 0.5 inch staples into the pressure treated lumber and as long as I held the stapler against the tree the stalls went down flush. With the tension setting close to maximum I was even able to gather 2-3 layers of fine stitches under the stapler, in most cases the staple went almost flush. There wasn't a single slip. I was excited. I even removed more braces than necessary because it was fun! It was one of the best tool investments I've made and I highly recommend this tool, especially if you already have an M12 battery and charger. I have 2 RedLithium M12 batteries but only needed one to complete the project. So far I have 3 different staplers (type T50) that will probably pick up dust now.
