These pedals are awesome! I have to say before I got them I thought they were a novelty and not really a functional item for my e-bike. Well I was completely wrong! From the moment I opened the box and held one, I immediately began opening and closing the pedal both ways. To release the pedal, you must pull out the metal latch. To return the pedal to its working position from there, all you have to do is pull or push it back. It's definitely strong enough to support my weight and pressure. I'm 5'11" and 200 pounds. I love that I can fold them up a few inches on either side to store or transport my bike. Finally, I would have preferred the overall size to be a bit larger, just to give the pedal a better feel on foot.All in all they are worth every penny...this is an upgrade you won't regret!
