, I installed this device about a week ago and it seems to be working as expected. I bought a replacement transfer case motor because the "4WD service light" on the dash was on AND because the transmission was randomly going in and out of 4 wheel lockup modes! I have a mechanic friend who told me that the transfer case motor was probably the culprit. A new block from a dealer would be MUCH more expensive ($450). This refurbished unit is $170 and I get some money back if I give them the "core" back for a refurb! Removing the faulty TCM and replacing the new one took my mechanic friend no more than 15 minutes. I would probably do it myself ;-). The bottom line is, buy this refurbished device and save on the kit. The price was reasonable and delivery was quick. Solid choice! JLJ
