This cage saved my cat's life

I never thought I would be the person to keep an animal in a cage. Then came darts. It was a foster cat that hid under my daughter's bed for a month. He only went out to eat late at night and use the tray. I ended up pulling him out from under the bed and putting him in another cage just to hang out with him and after 3 days he seemed home to me and I returned that cage to the rescuers and decided to take it to me. He would purr whenever someone looked at him and he was just the cutest cat in the world! He was like that for about 2 years. Last March my dog Moose crossed the Rainbow Bridge and Dart started urinating on the dog bedding. I figured he might smell moose, so I got rid of the dog beds (as you probably know, dog beds aren't cheap and I initially wanted to keep them for my other dog) and bought new ones. Dart then urinated on her so we went to the vet to see if he had a urinary tract infection. nope Then he started peeing on the bed and my new couch! Back to the vet, in tears, begging for help. We darted on Prozac and he got better for a couple of weeks, but then for some unknown reason he started urinating on things again and then hiding under the couch or in the basement all day. He seemed scared of everything, which made no sense to me. No one in my house has ever yelled at him or harmed him. I couldn't understand why his little brain had failed. My heart broke knowing how scared he was of everything. I knew that if we threw him away he would be euthanized because no one wants to take a terrified cat that pees all over the place and he is such a young cat that I really didn't want to take him to the vet for euthanasia. Then I remembered how well the cage worked the first time, so I ordered this one and OH MY GOD what a difference! He is very quiet in the cage and purrs every time he sees us. He lets me pet him and willingly lets me pet his stomach. My little darling lover is back! He's been in this cage for a week now and he loves it. It is very durable and has room to turn. Dart's best friend (my other cat, Shaggy) sits right next to him but outside of the cage and they're still best friends. When Dart gets a little nervous I open the cell door and let him decide whether he wants in or out, but now he's made it clear that he feels safe there. Dart will live out the rest of his life perfectly in this cage (if he chooses) - as long as he's happy, I'm happy! Thank god we found a solution! This cage is worth every penny!
